A meeting on participatory study on farm ecosystem was held at hotel Precidency, Bhubaneswar on 25th March 2019 with the collaboration with Rosa Lusemberg Stiftung, Germany.
Mr. Rangalal Jamuda, Chair person, Odisha , State Food Commission; Dr. Amiya Behera, Chairman, OPSL, Odisha; Dr. Aurobindo Behera, Former Member, Board of revenue; Dr. Prabhu Charan Lenka, Agriculture Research Person; Dr. Bidyadhar Moharana, Agriculture Researcher; Ms. Sabarmatee, SAMBHAV NGO; Dr. Diptimayee Jena,Prof. OUAT, Bhubaneswar, Mrs. Vidhya Das, Asst. Director cum Project Coordinator of RLS project; Mr. Achyut Das, Director, Agragamee and some farmers from different district of Odisha were presented in the meeting.
The meeting was all about a brief discussion upon a participatory study on farm ecosystem which will be taken place later.Few points are which are discussed in the meeting are follows:
Both intrinsic and extrinsic factors of the research study were emphasized. ( Suggested by Mr. Achyut Das and Dr. Bidyadhar Moharana)
All biotic and abiotic components are major elements of ecosystem. So, these aspects should be taken care. ( Suggested by Mrs. Vidhya Das and Dr. Bidyadhar Moharana)
Both men and women are the backbone of the farming system. So, in the research, point of views of both will be taken place. ( suggested by Mrs. Vidhya Das and Ms. Sabarmatee)
While planing for research study, there are some points we have to take in mind i.e., land type, soil type, rain fall, temperature, water level, forest wild life and their relation with villagers, bio diversity and use of natural resources. ( Suggested by Ms. Sabarmatee)
The research study will based on democracy and the researchers vision will depend upon the farmers. (suggested by Mrs. Vidhya Das)
