A three-day “Farmer Training Programme” was conducted for farmers from Kutuli village at Mallijharan on 20th to 22nd February under the PKVY programme implemented by Agragamee. A total of 50 farmers from Manjimadi Jaivik Krushak Sangha and Maa Mangala Jaivik Krushak Sangha participated in the event out of which 35 were women participants. Training started on 20th February with registration of farmers followed by class on organic farming by Agriculture Officer (Kuchepadar). Various issues related to organic farmer and the scope such a way was discussed. Farmers were given practical training on the preparation of organic fertilizers like Jeevamruth, Panchagavya,Handikhat, preparation of vermin compost etc. on the second day. A class was also held on behalf of Sri. Rabindranath Khutia (DDA, Rayagada) and Sr. Bibhudhan Dey ( Scheme Ofiicer, Rayagada). The second day concluded with practical training on various technique in grafting and use of agricultural implements by Mr. Atul Kumar Nayak and Mr. Pramod Kumar Panda(Agragamee). The training programme concluded on 22nd February with class by retired agricultural officer and techniques of marketing and scope of PKVY by Mr. Pramod Kumar Panda. Dignitaries present distributed certificate of participation to farmers and the programme concluded by a pledge by farmers to uphold the principles of organic farming.
Organic farmers training has been organised by Agragamee from 5th to 7th February 2019 with collaboration of “Paramparagat Krishi Vikash Yojana”, Agriculture Department, Government of Odisha at CETAR Training Hall, Mallijharan, Kashipur, Rayagada. 50 numbers of farmer of Punjapai village of Kunbhikota GP, Badamanadhara and Sanamanadhara villages of Kutuli GP, Rayagada Block, Rayagada District were participated.
